About the Barkly Square Global Markets

Originally called the Twilight Markets, Barkly Square has now established the Barkly Square Global Markets. These markets will celebrate the multicultural community in Ballarat, and reflect local organisations who call Barkly Square home. Markets will feature workshops, food, activities and entertainment.

This is a perfect place for families and community-minded people to come together, enjoy some delicious food and browse locally made goods. The market is a celebration of cultures and local makers in Ballarat, with a focus on bringing together the Ballarat East Community.

Don't forget to please bring cash with you so that you can support our stall holders and enter our raffle available on the night as not all stalls will have EFT facilities.

Interested in holding a stall at Barkly Square Global Market?

In our efforts to be a market that is all-inclusive and accessible to all families, we will be giving preference to stall holders who:
  • are local community organisations, with bespoke & handmade items 

Selection Criteria:
  • If you are holding a stall at the market, you should have low-cost items available (from approximately $5 and up) as well as higher pricing

Stall information:
  • Stalls will be 3m x 3m. You are welcome to purchase single stalls, or if you need more space purchase additional stall spaces.
  • Stalls will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis from receiving applications
  • Stall holders will not be able to select their own space. The organising committee will allocate stalls accordingly.
  • You will need to bring all marquees, tables, chairs and displays with you. Consider your stall size before arriving for the day.
  • Your stall may be inside or outside, and you should be ready for all weather conditions. Once your application is received, you will be advised of your stall location.

Cost:
  • Tenants at Barkly Square are welcome to use their spaces at no extra cost
  • Non-tenants will be charged $30 for a stall space with no power, and $40 with power
