Art Club for Grown Ups
Pablo Picasso famously said: “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” Art Club for grown-ups is a 5 week club held at The Workshoppery in Barkly Square, with the intention of holding space for creative grown-ups who have a passion, interest and longing to make more art, but may not have the dedicated time, space or resources to do so home. Art Club is not a structured workshop or class, but rather an opportunity to intuitively explore and experiment with a range of materials and techniques. Doing so in a supportive, safe, fun and imaginative environment with like-minded grown-ups. Ballarat artist and teacher Tegan Crosbie will facilitate the club, encouraging grown-ups to re-discover their inner child artist and play with a range of materials and techniques. Each week Tegan will use a prompt such as a style, theme or object to initiate creative responses. When: Monday evenings Time: 5-7pm Where: ‘The Workshoppery’ 25-39 Barkly Square, Ballarat. Dates: 27th Feb, 6th March, 20th March, 27th March, 3rd April (Note: no Art Club on March 13th due to the Labour Day Public Holiday) Cost: $150 for the 5 weeks, including all materials. Art Club is capped at 8 participants. BOOK HERE |
